Fujitsu is planning to release a new scanner that will impress you. In a small business, you have to get a lot done fast. You also need to retain important information and business cards.
Watch this demo of the upcoming Fujitsu S1500 scanner which has to be the best low-priced scanner I’ve seen. It handles 20 pages per minute, both sides, in color, different sizes of paper (just watch the demo) and does it easily.
Then you can add business cards quickly. Watch how it processes my card with English on one side and Russian on the other. It categorizes and files the cards accurately. Nice unit. I wish it weighed less than 6 lbs. but for what it does, you will want to check this out. Watch the short (less than 6 minute) video below and see what I mean.

Yes, it has some very good recognition of characters. I’ve seen that. And yes, I’m hesitant to send a message of any kind through email to all my contacts. That is a great way to lose a lot of friend really fast! Better approach? Make an educational video and/or article available to those who chose on their own to get involved. that is the way to do it. Thanx for sharing. Terry

I’m not sure why the previous reviewer had so much trouble with the character recognition. Perhaps it is a defect in the particular unit he received. In my case, it did a very fine job recognizing the data on a large variety of business cards. Very fast, and easy to use. I did not activate the integration with Outlook, but did set it up to make the Cardscan contact list available in Outlook, and that worked just fine. My only quibble is with the free online backup that they offer: the fine print tells you that they will email everyone on your contact list periodically to encourage them to join up. This sounds like a great way to lose all your friends, so I didn’t do it.
